Are you looking to get hands on experience in the Corporate world? Our COOP position looks to develop early talent under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, to gain real time knowledge and developing an encouraging network.
This role will support our Ethicon business within our Hospital Medical Technology sector.
Responsible for accurately and timely collecting, analyzing, consolidating, and reporting relevant data for the planning team.
Builds and develops new tools and systems to improve the efficiency of the existing planning processes.
Responsible for preparing reports, dashboards, decks and also publishing data in an accurate and timely manner.
Documents processes to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
Connects and networks with the internal and external teams daily.
May support a planning segment within the business, collaborating with marketing and finance counterparts to make recommended adjustments to the demand forecast as needed.
Improves forecast accuracy by analyzing sources of forecast error and recommending appropriate action plans.
Looks for new ways to achieve improved statistical forecasting performance.
Communicates business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
Knows and follows policies and procedures related to work activities performed in area of responsibility.
Completes training in areas of responsibility within allowed time-period.
Follows all safety policies & other safety precautions within work area.
Promotes safety to all associates that enter work area.
Follows all guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
For ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
Performs other responsibilities assigned as needed.
Qualifications Experience and Education No prior work experience is required, but current education or extra-curricular activity experiences should demonstrate capabilities to meet the required skills set.
Be enrolled into a bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Materials Management or bachelor’s in sciences with Major in Engineering (preferable).
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS Analytical problem-solving skills, project, creative capacity & technical skills.
Able to take direction well, set priorities and achieve results.
Validated ability to quickly learn and apply complex applications.
Good written and oral communication skills, and strong social abilities.
Business maturity and ability to work with minimum supervision.
Understanding of basic business concepts in assigned area.
Customer focused business judgment.
Able to see opportunities for improvement in existing processes and take initiative.
Solid understanding of general office protocols, procedures & equipment – PC, copier, fax.
Math, including Algebra and statistics (preferred).
Applied principles of research, concept generation, presentation, synthesis.
Ability to apply project and personal leadership to successfully achieve project, team and individual goals.
Ability to share knowledge and personal experience with peers.
Mentor others when appropriate.
Ability to build strong reciprocal relationships, considering nuanced perspectives and styles.
Ability to target their communications as appropriate for the audience and make presentations to a small to medium-sized audience.
Has knowledge of statistics, machine learning, data mining and production analytics.
Proficient in MS office programs.
Word, Excel, Power Point, Project Planning, E-mail, Flow Charts and management of database tools.
The anticipated base pay for this position is Sophomore $21 /hr, Junior $22/hr, Senior $23/hr, and Master’s degree $29hr but will be based on the candidate’s program year, discipline, degree, and/or experience Johnson & Johnson is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
