Our team of engineers, designers, and technical specialists are in the forefront of technology in the medical device industry.
Working in the reliability development cleaning & sterilization lab, you will collaborate with medical device design teams & test technicians to provide engineering support for reprocessing of R&D devices.
Key Responsibilities.
In this role you will coordinate and manage day to day operations within the cleaning & sterilization laboratory, including.
Collaborating with the R&D teams to help evaluate cleaning methods and impact to the devices, as well as making recommendations for improvements.
Coordinating testing with both internal and external laboratories.
Reviewing and interpreting test data provided by third parties to ensure its quality and appropriateness.
Providing necessary engineering support to laboratory technicians.
Assisting in optimizing processes to maximize laboratory throughput.
Ensuring accuracy in data collection.
Managing the stock of laboratory supplies to maintain necessary inventory levels.
Maintain quality compliant lab and machine related standard operating procedures.
Monitoring and maximizing the uptime of laboratory equipment.
Coordinating and documenting the maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
Interacting with equipment vendors and service technicians.
Train laboratory personnel on proper cleaning and sterilization procedures & equipment operation Ensuring compliance with laboratory regulations and safety protocols.
Qualifications Education.
A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering field is required (Biomedical preferred).
Required.
A minimum of 2 years of experience as an engineer, including 1 year in a lab and testing environment.
Experience with typical medical device reprocessing equipment & procedures.
Ability to understand engineering design intent to conceptualize and develop test equipment and interpret the data produced.
Analytical ability with creative thinking and problem-solving skills applied to product testing.
Experience creating, and documenting test cases and test procedures.
Preferred.
Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Siemens NX).
Experience in managing multiple parallel projects in a diverse team environment.
Experience working as a Test Engineer in a regulated environment.
