SUPERVISOR, PROCESSING

Closing Date.
April   Reporting to the General Supervisor, Processing, the Supervisor, Processing (known at Teck as Processing Supervisor, Outside Area) is responsible for supporting the existing process supervisor, primarily with all outside work and tertiary processing areas to meet safe production objectives in an efficient manner.
The position initially follows a 4x4 schedule of steady day shifts but could switch to a 4x4 rotation of day and night shifts in the future.
To be successful, we are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This person would demonstrate strong technical skills and professional integrity as they work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Lead and empower individuals in achieving operating targets and expectations, while improving employee performance through coaching and feedback Coordinate and prioritize the activities interconnected with process operations teams to meet efficiency, quality, and safe production targets Coordinate and communicate stockpile and reclaiming strategies with Processing Supervisor and Logistics teams Monitor tailings ponds and reject facilities and lead or conduct daily inspections and direct work accordingly Work closely with the existing processing supervisor to maintain environmental compliance    Qualifications.
Minimum two years experience within mining or a similar industry Possess or able to obtain HSRC supervisory ticket  Experience within a processing plant facility or experience in coal quality, geology or mine engineering Previous experience in a supervisory role and managing contractors is an asset Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite®.
