This role offers an opportunity to collaborate across the business and externally with suppliers to drive improvements in supplier performance and reliability.
It also provides opportunities to gain experience and knowledge of a broad range of materials and services and supplier management processes.
Key Responsibilities.
Provides overall quality assurance leadership in the management and qualification of suppliers and/or external manufacturers (EMs).
Supports the development and execution of Purchasing Controls processes and procedures.
Establishes and maintains quality assurance programs, procedures and controls, ensuring that performance metrics of both the supplier quality systems and suppliers are continually measured to drive improvement initiatives.
Leads/participates in supplier/EM engagements to assess technical competency and general compliance to requirements, i.
., material specifications, CTQ’s, process control plans, quality agreements, etc.
Drives, supports and leads the identification and elimination of potential supply chain risks via collaborative and proactive internal and supplier partnerships.
Engages in effective and timely risk management and communication, defect resolution, process capability/process improvement, and quality assurance general support.
Building and developing collaborations with internal partners such as Procurement, Material and Supplier Engineering, R&D Materials, Quality Assurance including Laboratory and Document Control and externally with Suppliers, EMs, and other J&J supplier quality groups.
Qualifications Education.
University/Bachelors degree or equivalent is required.
Experience and Skills.
Required.
Minimum of four to six (4-6) years of related experience.
Experience in a regulated industry, preferably Medical Device.
Demonstrates a basic understanding of the Medical Device Quality Systems, emphasis on purchasing controls.
Working knowledge of Word, Power Point and Excel with competency in moderately complex functions for data analysis and trending Preferred.
Experience in the Medical Device industry Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry or Chemical, Packaging, or Plastics industry.
FDA and ISO regulations knowledge.
21 CFR CFR ; ISO ; ISO ; Canadian CMDCAS; Japanese PAL; Anvisa Australian TGA Other.
