May   Reporting to the Lead, Operating Excellence, the Specialist, Operating Excellence is responsible for supporting key improvement initiatives.
As a practitioner in Continuous Improvement (CI), you will evaluate site opportunities, benchmark site performance, and promote prioritized initiatives.
To be successful, we are looking for someone who has strong capabilities to find solutions and make strong judgments and decisions through analysis of quantitative and qualitative information.
Someone who has the ability to think critically about business problems, build business cases and communicate succinctly to various audiences.

Above all else, you will have excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills, and can build and maintain successful relationships with partners across the company.

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Lead and manage process improvement projects to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality Work with operating departments to evaluate ideas, champion organizational change strategies, and sustain initiatives Coach idea owners to implement business improvement projects Identify potential opportunities and initiatives to apply and improve site performance through the application of an in-depth understanding of the mining business, key cost centers, business drivers and validate reported benefits against a common framework and methodology Facilitate idea generating sessions to identify, establish root cause, and resolve problems Design and implement performance management reports and visual management tools Promote site-wide culture of Operating Excellence and the sharing of site successes that can be actioned across our operations   Qualifications.
Degree in Finance, Mining, Engineering, Business, or Processing Minimum two years’ experience in CI or operating excellence environment using Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI processes; mining or industrial environment is an asset Experience analyzing large volumes of data to identify root causes, measure KPI performance, and identify key takeaways and solutions Excellent digital proficiency, particularly in advanced excel, Power BI, SQL, and Python   Benefits.

$   The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
