The Service and Repair QC/QA Technician is responsible for conducting technical moderately complex quality assurance inspections on the electrosurgical equipment serviced and uses these results to both release products for use in the field and improve production processes and standards.
The scope of this position covers electrosurgical capital equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities.
This is not meant as an all-inclusive list but as a top-level list of duties that this person generally completes.
· Performs moderately complex tests and analyses to ensure that products comply with established specifications.
· Carries out calculations and prepares documentation that shows the results of tests performed.
· Completes record of inspection results, acceptance, rejection, and disposition.
· Enters basic data into logbooks or computer databases.
· Performs specialized product/ quality testing.
· Implements revisions, corrections, and changes to test equipment, procedures, and methods.
· Participates in discussions with quality, engineering, and other relevant departments to develop corrective actions for reoccurring problems.
· Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
· Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
· Performs other duties assigned as needed.
Qualifications · A minimum of a High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
· At least 4 to 6 years of work experience in quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA) in regulated environment such as Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Manufacturing.
· Demonstrated knowledge of quality principles, practices, and procedures.
· Knowledge of specific business practices and software and software applications.
· Knowledge of Quality Systems for corrective action, product segregation, non-conformity material control, and process improvement.
· Ability to use good verbal and written communication skills (technical and non-technical).
· Ability to read, interpret, and follow written instructions.
· Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
· Ability to use excellent communication and interpersonal skills when interfacing with EES associates from all levels and functions of the organization.
· Working knowledge of GDP and ISO requirements.
· Ability to operate in Windows and applicable EES information systems.
· Must have demonstrated skill in inspection and review of documentation.
· Must know I-Sheets, change control systems, corrective action systems, material specifications, routers, and a basic understanding of purchasing processes.
· ASQ membership and certifications are preferred but not required.
