Successful co-ops with Teck are given first consideration for professional positions upon graduation   Requirements Working towards Mineral or Mining Engineering Comfortable working in a dynamic industrial work environment with a range of engineering, technical and operational personnel Willingness to work outdoors and able to operate vehicles at our operations, in various weather conditions and terrain Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate complex ideas to all levels Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and a solid understanding of AutoCAD and Solidworks would be advantageous   Responsibilities On the job shadowing for process plant familiarization Support continued work on improvement projects of existing dewatering equipment; for (e.

fine and coarse centrifuges, reducing gas consumption, as well as supporting Processing Engineer with sampling and data validation as required) Complete the scoping, planning and supporting the execution of projects as appropriately assigned (small to large scale).
Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive projects through to completion.
Build a foundational knowledge of coal processing systems, equipment, and streams that will aid in root cause analysis and reporting as required.
Produce well written and accurate reports, memos, and emails as required.
Deliver engaging presentations that spark conversation and follow up questions.
Work with a multidisciplinary team    All students will be required to complete pre-employment drug testing prior to commencing work.
Proof of a valid work permit will also be required, if applicable.
