A key enabler of the site’s value creation as Launch & Growth center of excellence, the (Senior) Manager Optical Inspection will lead the Visual Inspection department with an operational focus on Safety, Quality, Reliability, Cost, and People.
In this role you will shape day to day operational excellence, support new product launches, champion continuous improvement mindset and execution, and develop both team and organization.
In addition, you will continue future proofing the department together with an interdisciplinary team through implementing innovative technologies and processes.
Your responsibilities include providing strategic direction and leadership to the immediate operations as well as the wider cross-functional team, establishing close partnerships with the different functions supporting the department.
Finally, a key aspect of this role is creating an inclusive environment, enabling the growth and well-being of a diverse workforce.
Key Responsibilities.
Ensure safe and reliable supply of high-quality products to our patients through enabling on-time, in full, and compliant visual inspection of our parenteral product portfolio.
Lead, support and develop the Optical Inspection organization and team members.
Lead and support the cross-functional Optical Inspection Team providing clear direction and prioritization to enable effective project execution and problem solving.
Ensure a culture of inclusivity where diverse perspectives are valued and challenges embraced.
Drive the department's transformation towards increased automation and digitalization.
Champion a continuous improvement culture to drive operational excellence across all aspects of the operation (safety, quality, compliance, reliability, cost).
Cultivate relationships with industry peers to foster mutual learning and benchmarking.
Active member of the leadership team of the Business Unit Optical Inspection and Warehouse.
Qualifications Qualifications.
Education.
BA/BSc (MSc/MBA preferred) in Pharma, Life Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent required.
Experience and Skills.
6+ years proven experience in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering or a related field required.
People Leadership with experience in building and leading cross-functional teams required.
Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with team, peers, business partners and customers required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with various levels across the organization required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to connect the dots across different functions required Experience in Optical Inspection is preferred.
Experience managing transformation and change preferred.
Passion for continuous improvement and experience with Lean/Six Sigma preferred.
Authentic and hands on leader with a can-do mentality.
Up to 10% domestic or international travel.
