Position Summary Delivers ESH support services at a functional and project level providing guidance and analytical insights gained from metric analysis.
Manages ESH input and output data from a quality standpoint, providing predictive analyses and insights on trends to the GBU Manager of ESH to facilitate strategic direction.
Provides implementation of strategic directions provided by the Manager of ESH, as well as global business unit level goals and objectives for ESH.
Integrates all aspects of the ESH Management System into process flow supporting functional and project stakeholders.
Job Dimensions Supervision Received Reports to ESH Operations Manager and receives functional support from the ESH Project Support Services Manager   Contacts Maintains relationships with internal organizations (e.
., engineering, construction, and contracts) and customer and contractor/subcontractor representatives to coordinate the administration and implementation of safety/health functions on projects and facilities.
Maintains contact, as appropriate, with government regulatory and resource agencies to obtain current information on new regulations, program initiatives, and technical requirements and standards as they apply to the project.
Maintains contact with environmental, safety and/or health personnel on multiple projects to keep them informed of changing requirements and to provide technical assistance as needed.
Maintains contact with customers and contractors/subcontractors to exchange information on ESH issues, technical information, and new technologies.
Maintains contact with GBU M&BD organizations on bid decisions and proposal development.
Responsibilities Manages the various ESH databases and ensures quality of data input and output.
Develops regular reports on ESH data outcomes providing analytical guidance and advise to the GBU Manager of ESH.
Assists the GBU with implementation of an ESH Management System that meets the requirements of International Environmental Standard BS EN ISO , and the International Occupational Health and Safety Standard BS ISO .
Promotes integrity, technical data competence, and commitment to ESH on multiple projects and within the GBU.
Works with project and/or GBU management on bid decisions, proposals, and estimates (scope, constraints, schedules, budgets) with respect to integration and compliance with ESH requirements.
Provides technical support to feasibility studies, site assessment studies, and project risk assessments.
Coordinates appropriate consideration of ESH requirements with subcontract, engineering, and construction personnel.
Ensures that ESH plans are developed and implemented for projects or facilities within their area of responsibility in accordance with established policies, systems, processes, procedures and methods, client and/or host country requirements and regulations.
Ensures ESH standards and regulatory requirements are integrated into the ESH Management System.
Develops presentations using PowerPoint or other Microsoft applications.
Executes other ESH duties as assigned by GBU Manager of ESH.
Qualifications and Skills Basic Qualifications Experience in developing and maintaining databases for ESH metrics, incident reporting, and compliance tracking.
Experience in designing, implementing, and managing ESH management systems.
Ability to lead Project teams in system development projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Experience in developing risk assessment process aligned with the path of construction, constructability reviews and 90-day review processes.
Experience in presentation development and public speaking in client settings, during both bid and execution phase, with regulators, and with internal stakeholders (i.
., projects, facilities and offices).
Extensive and demonstrated knowledge of national (international) ESH laws/regulations and regulatory/resource agencies permitting processes and responsibilities, industry standards for ESH compliance, and best management practices for minimizing potential ESH impacts during project execution.
Broad knowledge of engineering and construction systems, methods and work processes including, construction planning, estimating, procedures, and execution.
Demonstrated experience in managing and/or providing technical oversight of ESH contractors/subcontractors or consultants during construction.
Knowledge of Bechtel’s organizational structure, functions, and administrative procedures.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools, software, and methodologies with an innate ability to provide predictive analysis.
Advanced knowledge of Power Bi and other web-based data platforms.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Advanced knowledge of a field of environmental and/or safety engineering, process safety, health, or related discipline.
Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to collect, organize, and interpret complex datasets.
Additional Qualifications Advanced knowledge of Power BI including data modeling, visualization, and dashboard creation.
Experience in connecting to various data sources, transforming data, and creating interactive reports.
Ability to optimize Power BI reports for performance and usability.
Proficiency in data analysis techniques such as statistical analysis, trend analysis, and predictive modeling.
Experience with data mining and exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover insights and patterns.
Strong understanding of data visualization principles to effectively communicate findings.
Proficient in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
Ability to write complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.
Advanced skills in Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
Familiarity with Excel functions and formulas for data cleaning, transformation, and analysis.
Understanding of data governance principles and best practices to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Experience in implementing data quality checks and validation processes.
Familiarity with programming languages for data manipulation and analysis.
Ability to write scripts for automation and data processing tasks.
Knowledge of data security principles and regulations (e.
., GDPR, HIPAA) related to handling sensitive information.
Experience in implementing data security measures and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
