With the current US healthcare system focused on efficiency and affordability, ensuring patient access to innovative treatments is critical.
The Value & Evidence Scientific Engagement (V&ESE) organization must ensure we obtain robust payer/healthcare system insights to demonstrate unrivaled evidence of value, engage in population health research, shape healthcare debate and policies to enhance patient access, develop and implement clear and efficient payer communication processes, and execute flawless and impactful communication of the value of Johnson & Johnson’s innovations for population health decision makers and society.
One critical success factor in ensuring V&ESE’s vision for market access excellence lies within our ability to seamlessly engage scientifically with the nation’s largest, most influential Payers/PBMs/IDNs/Major Health Systems and Governmental Accounts.
A focus on key stakeholders by the entire V&ESE Field team will help drive successful patient access for our current portfolio of products, as well as future pipeline products, while supporting and partnering for better health care for the patients we serve.
The Head, US V&ESE-Field has responsibility for the entire V&ESE-Field organization across all therapeutic areas/franchises.
This role is accountable for regional and new channel opportunity strategic planning and tactical execution by the V&ESE-Field Scientific Account Lead (SAL) teams.
The Head, US V&ESE-Field will represent the franchises in the cross-departmental strategic development and planning process, ensuring that the V&ESE-Field team effectively partners and supports all key internal stakeholders, including but not limited to SCG, V&ESE colleagues, SC&L, RWV&E research initiatives, Op Co Medical Affairs teams, and overall Scientific Affairs priorities.
This person is responsible for cross-functional projects that would have a significant impact on providing value to external and internal partners.
The Head, US V&ESE-Field leader will also be fluent in Health Care Compliance guidelines for field based medical personnel; working closely with HCC and BUHR partners, ensuring guidelines are followed in all initiatives.
This position participates on the V&ESE Leadership Team and Field Medical Leadership Board (cross-TA).

Essential Functions.
· Strategy, planning and oversight to V&ESE-Field activities, adhering to all HCC guidelines.
Develops and implements overall V&ESE-Field vision and mission.
Drives strategy planning and institutes process improvements and initiatives.(40%) · V&ESE-Field people management, leadership and development.(40%) · Interdependent partnering across all US Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine franchises and operating companies.(20%) Qualifications · Advanced Degree in a relevant discipline is required.
Doctorate in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or Outcomes is strongly preferred.
· A minimum of 7-10 or more years in the pharmaceutical industry, required.
· Field experience preferred.
· A minimum of 4-5 or more years of experience managing people, required.
· Ability to lead, motivate and develop field team members virtually, preferred · Experience working across multiple therapeutic areas, preferred.
· This position requires ability to travel, approximatley % travel.
Additional qualifications.
· The Head, US V&ESE Field, must be fluent in the English language and have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
They are expected to work a 40 hour work week, with flexibility on occasion to work additional hours when needed.
They must be able to travel by air, domestic and international, including overnight and weekends as needed with an ability to adjust across multiple time zones.

$ The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.
Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.
Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
