Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Technology (IMT), the Enterprise Technology group supporting all business functions under Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for Data Engineer, Technology Product Management within our Global Commercial Data Science JJIM Commercial Pharma business.
This position’s primary location will be in Titusville, NJ and may require occasional travel within the New Jersey/Pennsylvania area.
Data Engineer, Technology Product Management position will have specific responsibilities to develop data ingestion, data processing and publish data on data platform as end-to-end solutions with good technical skills, generate report as per business requirement, delivering high impact analytic products and solutions that address the evolving needs of the business.
Data Engineer will collaborate closely with IT peers, Team Lead and Stakeholders including internal & external team members.
Key Responsibilities.
Design and implement the data modeling, data ingestion and data processing for various datasets.
Design, develop and maintain ETL Framework for large real-world data (RWD) assets.
Develop and implement adhoc data ingestion to support business analytics.
Identify potential data quality issues and collaborate cross-functionally to understand impact and a resolve.
Proactively interact with vendors for any questions and report the status accordingly.
Explore and evaluate the tools/service to support business requirement.
Ability to learn to create a data-driven culture and impactful data strategies.
Proficiency towards learning new technologies and solving complex problem.
Analyze data and generate visualization as per business requirement.
Qualifications Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information system, Information technology..
Master’s degree strongly preferred.
Minimum 4 years of experience on Amazon Web Services such as VPC, S3, EC2, Redshift, RDS, EMR, Athena, IAM, Glue, DMS, Data pipeline & API, Lambda, etc.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in ETL and data engineering using Python, AWS Glue, AWS EMR /PySpark and Apache Airflow.
Minimum 4 years of experience in SQL, Python, Flask framework, DataBricks and source control Experience in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL & Oracle databases, and Massive Parallel Processing such as AWS Redshift and/or EMR.
Experience building distributed high-performance systems using Spark/PySpark, AWS Glue and developing pipeline for loading and/or streaming data into databases, Redshift.
Experience in Agile methodology Experience in analytic tools Tableau and/or PowerBI Experience with Big data processing techniques using Sqoop, Spark, hive is additional plus.
Experience in Bitbucket, CICD for code deployment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
Preferred.
Experience working within Amazon Web Services (AWS) Experience working with large scale electronic health records (EHR) and claims data.
Experience in end-to-end data engineering processes including but not limited to the designing of reusable and maintainable workflows using Apache Airflow.
Salary For US based candidates, the base pay range for this position is $ USD to $ USD.
Bonus The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.
Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year.
Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
