The Senior Buyer will be responsible for supporting the IT category procurement for Johnson & Johnson Companies.
In this role you will complete sourcing events where you will lead business partner engagement, evaluate event results, connect with suppliers on quotes, collaborate with contracting, and implement beneficial solutions with the business team.
Key Responsibilities.
• Lead supplier communications including sourcing event invitations, issue resolution, pricing terms negotiation, and contracting • Receive, analyze, and resolve supplier inquiries, disputes, and payment discrepancies • Supervise the purchase order process, including approving the purchase requisition, selecting suppliers, verifying budget alignment, and confirming delivery of orders • Build and cultivate business partner relationships and communications during the purchase process • Assess change needs, impacts, and business partner management activities and support organizational change integration activities • Perform one-off exception purchases, negotiate final pricing terms, and select suppliers based on singular demand • Perform data analytics, forecast demand, and identify baselines for purchasing that meet prioritized business requirements • Prioritize and validate potential strategic options, determine the benefits cases for these options, and measure the performance against established critical metrics Qualifications • A Bachelor’s degree is required, with a preferred concentration in Business, Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Engineering, or related field • A minimum of six years of business experience is required • A minimum of two years of Sourcing/Buying with shown success in supplier and contract commercial terms negotiations is preferred • Proficiency in procurement processes is preferred • Experience working in indirect procurement categories is preferred • Shared services center experience is preferred • Previous experience in collaborating with other procurement functions such as contracting is preferred • Solid understanding of Procurement systems (Ariba, Scout, Salesforce.
om) is preferred • Shown efficiency working remotely with business partners and suppliers is required • This position is located in Tampa, FL and may require up to 5% travel The base pay range for this position is $ USD.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.
Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year.
Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
