Global Transport EMEA supports both sectors of Johnson & Johnson.
Med.
ech and Innovative Medicine, manages a complex transportation network across Europe, Middle East and Africa supporting various modalities and service levels driving best in class performance operations and transport reliability and leveraging Integrated Logistics Operations (Control Tower) and Third Party Logistic sourcing base.
The Regional Transportation organization focuses on the strategic and operational oversight of Regional Transportation to ensure reliable supply of local DCs and Hubs from Make, to maximize value to Johnson & Johnson.
PURPOSE OF POSITION Manage transportation service functions for Innovative Medicine Segment to ensure reliable and cost-efficient replenishment of the major Hubs, Affiliates DCs and Distributors for Innovative Medicine in EMEA.
Support Plant to Plant movements of materials, components and APIs in Innovative Medicine manufacturing network.
This includes developing, implementing, and administering systems, projects, procedures and processes and providing effective transportation services to meet customer service levels, revenue objectives, and compliance regulations while minimizing risk and overall costs.
As member of the EMEA RTO Innovative Medicine operations team, the Senior Analyst is responsible for the flawless execution of EMEA RTO IBF lanes metrics, performance, and budget controls.
This includes day-to-day operational issue management, transportation/logistics coordination, budget creation, maintenance and reviews.
Responsibilities · Manage door-door transport operations for Johnson & Johnson, ensuring consistent product availability and highest levels of customer experience.
· Ownership for annual EMEA Budget build, submission, quarterly updates and monthly BVA reviews · Support build, track, reconcile and manage the overall Transportation budget for IM cool chain, manufacturing and other functions · Collaborate with Global IM Planning organizations to obtain and incorporate planning forecasts into transportation budgets.
Provide regular reviews of volume change impacts in monthly BVA reviews · Lead and present Budget vs Actuals monthly review with finance partners · Drive efficiency & improvements in Innovative Medicine IBF Transportation budget process and data quality · Monitor transportation budget and expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing expenses within budgetary constraints.
· Master data maintenance as required · Ownership and publication of IM RTO performance metrics, ensuring visibility and accuracy · Performance metrics review and root cause analysis to drive operational improvements · Proactively surfaces and resolves key issues with a sense of urgency, demonstrates continuous improvement including transportation lanes, resource management, leveraged value · Identify and implement cost optimization through operational improvements while ensuring service, quality, reliability, and compliance to meet set business targets.
· Analyze transportation data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operation excellence and meet expectations.
· Work closely with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and Control Tower to ensure timely and accurate transportation services.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, procurement, and distribution, to ensure seamless transportation operations.
· Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on transportation performance, initiatives and budget · Ability to present performance metrics and project charters/updates to various levels of management.
· Participate in operational vendor management meetings (business reviews, reporting on operational vendor performance) · Support tenders led by Sourcing partners.
· Support service issues and drive to resolution · Perform ad-hoc operational analytics to drive day-to-day business efficiencies · Lead operational activities to support global bids for various intra-region transport moves; including requirements, baseline validation and lane implementation to pre-established metrics.
Other · Support tender process and execution of new lane implementation due to a tender · Crisis management, Provide support for event management in other geographical regions based on criticality of issues.
· Presentations, stakeholder and leadership updates Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor's degree 4-6 years of proven experience in Transportation, Customer Service or Supply Chain.
Experience working with highly matrixed global organization is required Knowledge, skills and abilities · Languages.
Fluent in English -, other European languages is a plus · Strong knowledge of general transportation, cold chain, temp controlled transportation solutions and practices · Experience with Transportation budgets · Results focused with proven track record of successfully delivering on key initiatives, milestones & deadlines · Process orientation and analytical mindset with experience in process flow analytics and ability to drive efficiency in Transport Operations · Good communication and organizational skills · Experience in working in complex operations across EMEA and matrix organization.
· Customer focused E2E mindset and collaborative, influence-based leadership and stakeholder management internally and externally (Control Towers, 3PLs) · Drive for Innovation with proven capability for problem solving · Ability to drive continuous improvement and E2E value creation through operational efficiency with a focus on Transportation management · Budget management experience $2-4MM or more is preferred · Project Management Skills.
Knowledge of a PPM tool is a plusMS office proficiency, strong data management skills in Excel and PowerBI · Working knowledge of analytics using Alteryx and Tableau.
