SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (BILINGUAL)

Descripción del puesto This position will be responsible for maintaining general accounting systems, enforcing policies and following procedures to ensure that proper information is processed and reported in concordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
The position will assist in the execution of accounting functions, including general ledger, treasury, inventory/COGS, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, intercompany transacctions.
It will include.
- manage monthly close cycle, ensuring that US GAAP financial reporting is performed timely, in accordance with corporate close guidelines, consolidating all Payless entities, preparing journal entries, reviewing income statement activity and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial statements.
- manage external and internal financial audits and internal management reporting for the subsidiaries/functions assigned.
- the preparation of journal entries, analysis, reconciliation and reporting, as well as perform ledger close activities and provide accurate and timely financial data aimed to support management’s decision making.
- review and analyze inter-company transactions.
Ensure all journal entries comply with internal and external audit specifications.
- support the Global Controller to enforce that Payless legal entities are compliant with all US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and local tax, accounting and financial regulations, required by local country legislation, - participate in the ongoing development and maintenance of internal procedures and processes.
- participate in special projects and ad hoc reporting.
Requisitos 5 years accounting experience and BA/BS degree in Accounting or equivalent.
Excellent process improvement skills, leadership skills and communication skills Experience directly managing I/C AP and AR functions required, experience managing cash flow preferred Excellent attention to detail and follow through.
Ability to quickly adapt to change.
Strong Excel and data visualization, Access and SQL skills.
Knowledge of ERP’s, SAP required.
Knowledge of Exactus and PeopleSoft is a plus.
Bilingual Spanish / English.
