R&D MANAGER

The candidate in this DevTools position will lead and manage a team providing support for existing internal Synopsys DevTools and creating cutting-edge solutions for new tools and projects for Synopsys internal engineering community.
The candidate will be a Technical Motivator/Manager with an innovation mindset and have the people and technical skills or the ability to build the required skills quickly to manage a team and multiple projects.
The candidate will be responsible for driving and leading the R&D efforts responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software programs including the definition, development, and delivery of market-leading solutions for cloud-ready development productivity tools, CI/CD workflows, toolchains, and dashboards by working with managers and teams in our global engineering community.
The candidate will learn, help define the support model and lead the team to support existing internal Synopsys DevTools to ensure the engineering community has a positive user experience.
The candidate is also expected to balance multiple demands in a fast-paced environment, should act quickly using good judgment, and be self-motivated.
The candidate should help achieve tangible results, demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and display commitment to excellence in product performance, reliability, and robustness.
They should exhibit the ability to learn and apply new skills.
The candidate must be process-oriented with experience in Agile software development processes.
Required Skills.
3+ years experience managing multi-member team developing new and supporting existing tools Automation (Java/Perl/Python/Ruby/PowerShell/Bash) Experience in Cloud / On Prem Infrastructure Experience in Python/Java/Node Experience in REST API frameworks Experience in web applications and web frameworks (Python/Java Based web frameworks €“ MERN is a plus) Desired Skills.
Familiarity with Linux environment, and general proficiency with tools, systems and procedures required to accomplish the job.
Familiarity in designing cloud-native applications and solutions on AWS, Azure, Google, etc.
Exposure to various database technologies like NoSQL, Relational, Distributed, etc.
