Together, we enable our customers to produce the materials needed for a better future Job scope As a Proposal Engineer for Crushing Consumables you will part of a high-motivated and impactful team across multiple regions which ensures the successful development, implementation, and optimization of global engineering strategies with a high focus on technology-driven solutions.
You will support this team being responsible for creating unique and complex offerings, preparing bid documents and cost estimates to enable the sales staff to meet the needs of our customers.
The Engineering Team is at the forefront of innovation and technical excellence and plays a pivotal role in driving the company's technological advancements and ensuring product excellence.
The department's responsibilities span the entire product lifecycle, focusing on continuous improvement and optimization.
Your responsibilities Review of customer inquiries, identifying needs, requirements, comments, and exceptions Create detailed proposals for complex consumable requests to meet the internal and external demands Define application specific equipment specifications Prepare cost estimates and work schedules for proposal development and ensure proposal competitiveness by placing the specific value add for the customers Develop standard offerings for Crushing Consumables portfolio Coordinate in collaboration with peers and stakeholders the engineering requirements for a given demand Operate cross- functionally with other groups as required and may necessitate quick responses and collaborations at different hours of the day to meet the local needs of the customer Work closely with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction and provide direct sales support What you bring 3- 5 years of work experience in engineering, Crusher liners experience Ability to understand the economic drivers of the mine and provide support to optimize value generation Ability to pay attention to the details and determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension.
Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills and ability to check all technical material for consistency and accuracy Skilled in collaboration with a broad range of stakeholder, from customers to organization leaders Proven ability to operate independently and in multi-discipline teams and comfortable dealing with regular competing and changing priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Fluency in technical and common office software As an equal opportunity employer, FLSmidth embraces diversity and equality by promoting an environment of inclusion.
