Patient Advocacy & Sustainability Manager has a main responsibility to establish partnerships and solutions that will improve access of Romanian patients to new innovative treatments, in line with company priorities and strategy by exploring new space and opportunities within healthcare, understand the needs and challenges of the patient community and drives the debates, advocacy on solutions and initiatives for patients aiming to drive better patient outcomes and health policies.
Additionally, from Sustainability perspective, Patient Advocacy & Sustainability Manager will find opportunities for optimization of programs and will drive the business' social responsibility position, including Environmental, Social and Governance and progress internally and externally.
This job is not eligible for sales incentives.
Key Responsibilities.
Serves as a developing subject matter expert on patient advocacy and patient experience and provides valuable insights regarding industry processes, healthcare policies, and regulatory requirements.
Identifies, assesses, and prioritizes the patient advocacy landscape to ensure current and future patient advocacy and engagement programs align with corporate values, business objectives, and policy priorities.
Develops strategy for patient initiatives and programs that support the organization’s patient advocacy strategies and engagement objectives and create a positive and progressive patient experience and health policies.
Benchmarks actionable insights from individual patient insights, perspectives, and testimonials and ensures these insights are applied and understood during internal and external opportunities including leadership meetings, launches, and business partners engagements.
Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision-making.
Develop, build and sustain valued relations and partnerships with patient advocacy groups/ associations, NGOs and CSR Create and deliver patient-aimed communication materials in close cooperation with internal departments.
Counsel internal and external business partners to understand expertise and mutual areas of interest between Johnson & Johnson and advocacy & professional organizations to optimally serve patients, communities and society Manage external partners engaged for specific advocacy initiatives to ensure maximum impact and that desired goals and objectives are met.
Be accountable for associated budgets and resources.
Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of advocacy programs; monitor progress against objectives.
Ensure Johnson & Johnson is perceived as a trusted partner for Patients Associations Groups (PAGs) and by society by delivering valuable solutions, which increase the health status.
Plan CSR and Sustainability strategy and tactics in collaboration with specific teams and internal departments Develop relations and collaboration with the NGOs that are addressing the societal needs, in healthcare but not limited to, will help the Company to increase the Trust & Reputation and demonstrate that the Company puts its Credo into actions, both internally and externally.
Deals with employee engagement activities that are related to the company's CSR activities Actively shape the environment to improve the ethical and scientific standards of the industry, Governmental officials and health authorities T he role reports directly to the Government Affairs and Policy Director Qualifications Education.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required, Master or Post graduate studies preferred.
Experience and Skills.
Required Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience and leadership Excellent knowledge of the healthcare system legislation Proven business experience in the Healthcare Industry and in building partnerships Excellent presentation skills including effective listening, writing, verbal communication are essential Strong analytical and persuasion/negotiation skills; collaborative style Cultivate long term and strategic relationships Solid understanding of the patient community, healthcare environment and pharmaceutical industry A good understanding of the needs and behaviors of a broad variety of business partners Customer centricity and strong external focus Intellectual curiosity, results orientation, critical thinking, collaboration, inner confidence, self-awareness, empathy and adaptability will make the candidate successful Ability to mobilise & activate advocacy partners Ethical behavior in line with J&J’s Credo values are required Fluency in English language (verbal and written) Excellent networking skills, good teamwork, good time management Influence and advocacy skills Passion for innovation and for turning obstacles into opportunities Preferred.
Fluency in any other languages is a plus.
