Make To Order (MTO) - Value Stream Leader Reports to.
Senior Operations Manager Location.
Leeds, UK Johnson & Johnson MedTech, Joints Supply Chain is recruiting a Value Stream Leader, located in Leeds, UK.
As a Value Stream Leader at DePuy Synthes Leeds site, you will champion customer collaboration, growth of service and the development through to delivery of patient-specific medical devices, operating within a high-complexity, low-volume manufacturing environment.
You will lead with creativity and innovation, focusing on our custom made-devices and make-to-order capabilities that are critical to our patients' needs.
Duties & Responsibilities.
Drives excellence in Make-To-Order service, with end-to-end responsibility for customer liaison, design, engineering, manufacturing, and shipment.
Responsible for achieving excellence in customer service, ensuring right first-time quality, accurate production planning, supply issue resolution and meeting the manufacturing schedule.
Lead and innovate by providing pioneering technical leadership to our manufacturing and engineering teams.
Drive forward next-generation concepts and lead the tactical day-to-day performance, ensuring operational excellence.
Champion efficiency by encouraging a culture of continuous improvement across all processes, including lean and process excellence methodologies.
Contribute to business planning, lead capital projects and budgeting processes and ensure financial accountability in production operations of Make-To-Order devices.
Develop Talent by mentoring and coaching a dynamic team, driving talent development and championing diversity, equity, and inclusion in all business practices.
Ensure Quality, Safety and Compliance by leading all aspects of risk management activities and maintain regulatory compliance across all custom-made processes.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent.
Requires 5 or more years related supply chain / engineering / production experience.
People leader having recruited and developed individuals, teams, and departments.
Strategic leader, with strong communication skills and acts as a profound change agent.
High degree of inventiveness and resourcefulness required to ensure timelines are achieved, standards maintained, and the team remains motivated and functions with high efficiency.
Resilience to take care of challenges, changes, and unexpected setbacks in a positive way.
Preferred Knowledge and Key Competences.
Background in project management, preferably with proficiency in methodologies such as Prince2 and Agile.
Knowledge of lean methodologies, preferably certified Green or Black Belt.
High level of original and independent thinking, often under time pressure.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities and able to take care of complexity.
