About This Role.
As the site PE Lead, this role will be responsible to deploy key continuous improvement programs (Lean, Six Sigma, FPX), prioritizing key best practices and evolving team capabilities of developing and implementing key business improvement initiatives in line with Johnson & Johnson’s Production System (JJPS) standards and best practices.
You and the Milpitas team will lead, analyze, design, and improve business processes by enlisting and influencing cross-functional teams to deliver tangible business results through the application of Six Sigma, Lean principles & methodologies, and Lean tools.
In this role, you will apply your business, leadership, and technical skills, to both implement projects and coach individuals and teams in the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities.
Partner with the Milpitas Supply Chain Leadership team to drive significant business improvements, developing a multiyear roadmap for the site.
Responsible for delivering process performance improvements around Quality, Product Supply, and Cost, informed by data collection, pre-diagnostic analyses and other analytical tools.
Lead the productivity program for the site incorporating latest thinking and new ideas.
Lead site process improvement initiatives/projects including leading resource requirements, working to agreed timelines and utilizing change management tools.
Collaborate and partner with team members across multiple functions.
Develop Lean and Six Sigma capabilities through coaching and mentoring at all levels of the organization deploying JJPS best practices.
Create sustained business improvement results through the application of DMAIC, LEAN and ME2 practices and tools.
Assist in management of the PE Training, Certification, Re-Certification and Savings as required.
Follow and observe all regulatory requirements (GMP’s, ISO, FDA, internal policies) applicable to area of responsibility.
Align with J&J Safety Requirements and safe working conditions and practices in the department.
Other responsibilities that may be assigned Qualifications Required Skills Production / Engineering Degree or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management role within a multinational company.
Lean certification as a Green Belt or Black Belt Previous experience within the Healthcare/Medical Devices sector.
Experienced in developing talent.
Demonstrated track record of delivering tangible Improvements and business goals.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in deployment of Lean Principles, Project Management, and Re-engineered of manufacturing & transactional processes.
Preferred Skills Comprehensive Business and financial acumen on end-to-end Supply Chain An advanced degree, such an MSc.
or MBA Six Sigma certification as Black Belt or Master Black Belt Other Skills and Abilities.
Demonstrated strong Leadership, Resilience, Tenacity and Persistence Consistent adherence to our Credo values and our Vital behaviors.
Understanding of business and compliance procedures.
Ability to deal effectively with a variety of conflicting issues and possess the diplomatically required to resolve the issues.
Ability to translate company goals and objectives into successful strategies.
Strong analytical problem solving, interpersonal, negotiation and leadership skills.
Ability to deliver oral and written communications around process improvement projects that has clarity and impact.
Ability to audit production areas and identify non-compliance to requirements and develop/oversee corrective action plans.
In depth knowledge of production and quality control techniques such as CFM, JIT, TQM, SMED, CIM, etc.
