MedTech Transformation Officer Job Description Looking for a dynamic, high-energy, organized professional to join the India MedTech (JJMI) team as Associate Director in the MD’s office.
This critical position will provide the unique opportunity to work directly with the MD and will also be a decision support leader to JJMI Leadership team/board.
The role will provide strategic support to MD in a variety of areas spanning across the portfolio of businesses/functions.
The preferred candidate would have prior experience in MedTech and is able to support coordination both internally & externally in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities.
Digital Strategy & Roadmap • Lead the digital trailblazing journey for JJ MedTech.
Formulate enterprise digital strategies, develop a robust digital ecosystem, and build Digital as one of the key strategic growth drivers.
Constantly renew and geminate new strategic digital opportunities • Digital Initiatives.
Provide strategic direction and guidance on digital portfolio.
Spearhead prioritized digital initiatives to accelerate digital transformation in several categories.
Customer-facing products and services; Operations (internal applications); and Foundational capabilities (culture, data, partnerships etc.), by partnering with key business & functions, for example Robotics, integrated dealer management and process automation systems, digital education, and sales force effectiveness tools.
Managing Key Strategic Initiatives / Project Management • Provide oversight to and manage projects related to key strategic priorities.
Take ownership over key projects in support of the strategic priorities to drive critical business results and outcomes.
Bring together broad groups of stakeholders across the organization to execute and support these projects.
• Compile data and trends analysis to incorporate recommendations and state of the business presentations.
Assist with and provide research/background information, content development, and creation of impactful presentations with effective story telling.
• Senior Leader Engagement & Collaboration • Shape the JJMI strategic agenda ensuring focus on key strategic priorities and growth drivers while simultaneously working to evolve the meeting cadence and structure to drive overall efficiencies.
• Spends the necessary time with the BU Leadership team to act as common thread throughout the team with speed and efficiency – ensure the expected outcomes are driven throughout the team consistently & thoughtfully.
• Facilitate the flow of communications with the APAC Leadership Team, JJMI Leadership Team/ Board Franchise/Business Teams, Functional leadership team, Supply Chain, and other critical stakeholders.
• Governance.
• Lead development/crafting of JJMI strategic priorities and scorecard to ensure the leadership team is driving towards shared ownership of aligned key performance metrics.
• Leadership Role in JJMI Strategic and Business Planning Process • Provide overall support to the MD.
Anticipate the MD needs and proactively bring together appropriate people and resources to support the decision-making process.
Prepare the MD for critical meetings and represent the MD’s office as necessary.
• Keep up to speed on external market information and share insights with leadership teams.
• Handle confidential information.
Participate in brainstorming sessions for various projects.
Handle the JJMI Medical Leadership team agenda.
• Be a liaison to challenge the status quo, trade ideas & ensure the milestones progress according to plan.
Qualifications Qualifications - External • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
• An MBA or master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of years of progressive professional work experience in Sales, Marketing, Account Management, or other Commercial Centers of Excellence is required.
• Medical Device experience required.
• Experience of successfully leading critical business initiatives such as product launches, KOL relationships, driving and executing large scale negotiations or cross functional project leadership experience with proven business results is required.
• Prior experience in strategic consulting and project management is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to synthesize and draw conclusions and form opinions based on complex and varying data and information is required.
• Strong customer and marketplace focus, negotiation and influencing skills, project management, and time management skills are required.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, customer orientation and organization skills are required.
• Strong communications skills, verbal and written and through different types of technology and media are required.
• Proven leadership and influencing competencies along with demonstrated business acumen skills, preferably gained through multi-sector and global experiences are strongly preferred.
• Ability to understand and navigate the complexities of operating in a matrix global framework is required, along with the capability to execute flawlessly in high stress/fast paced environment.
• Intellectual curiosity and learning agility are required for this role.
• The ideal candidate must be able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Proven ability to be highly collaborative & flexible – comfortable navigating through ambiguity with a diplomatic approach.
Able to quickly adapt to shifting priorities and reprioritize accordingly.
