Comfortable digging into code, architecture, and operations? Johnson & Johnson Technology Services (JJTS) is recruiting for a Reliability Engineering Manager Innovation Medicine R&D applications.
Interested in applying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to the way IT Applications are designed, developed, and operated? Want to help implement Continuous Release and Deployment? We are seeking an engineer to focus on continuously optimizing existing systems, building automation into our infrastructure, applications, deployment, release and operations.
Our engineers take the responsible for the End to End experience of our customers and how our systems perform, using industry leading tools and approaches.
Our teams improve IT Product quality by focusing on preventative and proactive measures, eliminating and automating product reliability issues, and collaborating with our product lines to deliver high quality, highly reliably applications.
As a part of the Application Reliability team, you will be at the forefront of technologies interacting with the full breadth of Technologies.
AWS, Azure, Informatica, R, Tableau, Qlik, Python, Drupal.

This role will provide you the opportunity to have.

Work directly with customers/developers/architects/product owners to help automate customer issues and drive solutions to build stronger more reliable R&D Application solutions Engage in and improve our R&D IT Products full-length— design, deployment, operation and continuous improvement.
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will work to keep revenue and reputation-critical systems up and running by measuring and improve availability, performance and overall system health.
Pre-production validation through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks and Production Readiness reviews.
Our engineers create, fix, extend and scale the code to keep it up and running and improve through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
Interact with global technologists around the world building global and regional services and relationships with some of the most dedicated, passionate, caring individuals in the world.
Daily tasks of the role will include.
Handle all problems from the time they are detected, all throughout their resolution and closing in order to prevent problems and resulting incidents from happening, to eliminate recurring incidents and to minimize the impact of incidents that cannot be prevented.
Responsible for full Problem Management Lifecycle (Record, Classify, Prioritize / Investigate and Diagnose / Resolve Problem / Close Problem) Accountable for the release, deployment and configuration of activities for the applications Co-ordinate the scripting, testing and deployment of new versions of environments and target hardware infrastructures Prioritizing and fixing operational issues Coordinate and support the applications quality and production environments Implement new tools for increased automation, security, reliability, and performance of the applications Support methodologies for building, operating highly available, scalable services Deliver and maintain software to automate manual operational work and testing Resolve and minimize production incidents Publish Root Cause Analysis of incidents and outages Participate in organizational change activities Contributes to on call support Incident and Service Request management including co-ordination, resolution and review on a daily/weekly/monthly basis as appropriate Performs service reviews with internal teams and external vendors, ensuring SLAs are met and SOP’s/WI’s are updated as appropriate Application dashboard creation, monitoring, maintenance, and data reconciliation Supervise and measure the quality of IT operations, benchmark these metrics, and initiate improvement actions when they do not meet minimum requirements.
Responsible for incorporation of non-functional requirements in application development Lead alignment meetings with BT and the business including the co-ordination of TS approvals for any new changes/problem’s deployment in QA and PD environments Qualifications Qualifications A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field is required.
A minimum of 7 years in a Computer Science or relevant field is required.
Experience mentoring high-performance teams well-adapted attention to performance metrics, procedural guidance and continuous process improvement is required.
Experience running Cloud based infrastructure is preferred.
Experience with any one of the technologies is preferred.
AWS, Azure, Informatica,, R, Tableau, Qlik, Python, Drupal.
Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design is preferred.
Experience recommending and encouraging appropriate software design and architectural decisions is required.
Independent and flexible, with solid communication skills and strong customer focus is required.
Ability to build, foster, and manage partner and customer relationships as a technical service manager is required.
Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.
Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive is required.
This position may require up to 10% domestic and international travel.
