Reporting to the Director, NPI ad LCM – Extremities and CMF, our Launch Manager, NGP is expected to lead the Supply Chain launch management team to establish contemporary, best practice manufacturing and supply chain processes and techniques on a global scale for new products in the NGP areas.
This leader is expected to bring to bear their experience of project management, enterprise-wide supply chains,and knowledge of manufacturing operations to orchestrate a development team committed to an outstanding supply chain, to support key strategic NPI projects launch (on time, on cost, and with expected quality and service levels).
The Launch Manager, NGP will lead a team of NPI Launch leaders, leading teams through standardized launch management processes and driving self-accountability in each function.
They will craft and develop optimized supply chain strategies for sophisticated New Product Introductions (NPI) programs.
This leader will ensure continuity of supply by leading and participating in sophisticated projects that require influencing and supporting multi-functional teams such as.
R&D, Quality Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Sourcing, Plan, Value stream team, External Operations and Environmental/Safety that drives the development and implementation of Business Continuity Plans to mitigate against manufacturing and/or Supplier launch delays and long term product supply disruption risks.
It is important that this leader understand demand planning and works with internal and external teams to develop capacity plans for scale up including requirements for capital and validation expenses.
Key Responsibilities.
Drive activities and goals, project plan development, updates to management and other core team activities to help establish project direction to ensure total team success Provide operations inputs into the design of new product to ensure the new product is crafted to meet business metrics including cost and gross profit margins Actively participate in identifying, influencing, selecting, and qualifying suppliers and collaborate with internal functions and suppliers to finalize product design, material selection & process selection Participate in assessing supplier adaptability and collaborate on process excellence initiatives for continuous improvement Coordinate the creation of commercial supply agreements to support program needs ensuring all key operations and manufacturing requirements are adequately addressed Acquire vital consensus by leading trade-off discussions and prioritization activities on contracts Lead and direct team members in strategic decision-making process including supplier selection decisions, and make balanced recommendations to management with regard to short term and long terms program objectives Contribute to decision-making in key areas of the project including financial, marketing, planning, quality and design Ensure all areas of the supply chain are involved and engaged throughout the project lifecycle, providing two-way communications between project teams and supply chain functions Qualifications Education/Training.
Minimum Bachelor's degree required; Engineering, Science, or a related Field required Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, Science, or a related Field is preferred Knowledge of and experience in applying Six Sigma and/or Lean methodologies is required Project management methodology certification (e.
., PMP/PMI, FPX) is preferred Experience and Skills.

A minimum of 6 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility managing large, multi-site, global organizations, with end-to-end supply chain experience.
Work experience within the healthcare (i.
.
Medical Technology or Pharmaceuticals) industry Project Management experience, including developing and implementing processes for new or existing products/process and/or new technologies Demonstrated experience in supply chain operational management with either internal or external manufacturers Demonstrated ability applying project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, budget management, and organizational change techniques Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills (written, presentation, meeting management, documentation) to effectively persuade and work across segments and functions at all levels of the organization Other.
