Job Summary.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Lead specializing in Intelligent Automation, particularly in the areas of Computer Vision, Large Language Models (LLMs), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Optical Character Recognition (OCR), and vision based generative pre-trained transformer models to join our team at Johnson & Johnson.
As the IT Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing innovative Computer Vision, AI/ML solutions that drive innovation and business growth.
This role requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a passion for driving transformation through AI and ML technologies.
Responsibilities.
Lead and be responsible for the development and implementation of Generative AI and LLMs based intelligent automation solutions using AI, ML, OCR, and vision based generative pre-trained transformer models’ technologies.
Experienced in Edge Computer Vision Technologies and related Hardware (Edge Devices, Cameras etc) Collaborate with multi-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy automation solutions that meet business requirements and enhance operational efficiency.
Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team, ensuring the successful execution of automation projects.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in computer vision, LLMs, Generative AI, ML, OCR, and vision based generative pre-trained transformer models’ technologies and find opportunities to use them for process improvement.
Analyze business needs and define automation requirements to support effective solution development.
Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the performance and impact of implemented automation solutions.
Collaborate with internal partners and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and alignment with existing IT frameworks and infrastructure.
Stay informed about industry benchmarks and emerging trends related to intelligent automation and computer vision.
Drive the adoption of AI/ML practices and technologies across the organization Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the team Requirements Accountable for ensuring high Reliability of platforms as a service owner and addressing critical issues and challenges pertaining to the platform to ensure service quality is of the highest standard.
Initiating proactive measures and actions to maintain stable and reliable environment.
You will be responsible for maintaining and managing the automation of machine learning models and standardize and administer the environments for optimal performance.
The role requires active engagement and collaboration with a broad range of partners including senior Business & Technology leadership, investment owners, product lines, project teams and supporting Technology service groups.
You will facilitate the end to end portfolio/project lifecycle process, to ensure potential investments are being represented accurately and the right investments are selected to be realized.
Responsible for supervising and supporting portfolio and program/project activities and providing routine updates to executive Technology and Business leadership.
This position is highly networked, with strong links to the Consumer team and other partners primarily cross-sector Product Line groups.
Connect with internal and external partners, vendors and research organizations to understand emerging trends and transform those insights into Delivery and service improvements.
Instigate and lead innovation and proof-of-concept initiatives to continually improve build quality and support service addressing emerging / unmet customer needs\ Be involved in critical issues and work with Business / BT / GCC as required to address called out issues You will work with our business partners and data scientists on pioneering AI Software Solutions including production deployment and defining and implementing a tool chain to enable MLOps for critical projects Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's or PhD is a plus) Strong expertise in computer vision, LLMs, Generative AI, ML, OCR, and vision based pre-trained transfer models and their practical applications.
Expertise in Edge Devices, Cameras etc related to Computer Vision Demonstrable experience in managing and implementing automation projects, specifically using computer vision and Generative AI techniques.
Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++ for developing automation solutions.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to see opportunities for automation and implement effective solutions.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in working on MLOps platform Travel required.
10% of the time.
Experience in Seldon, Argo, Jenkins, Jupyter, Kuberenetes, API Management, Python, NodeJS, React, AWS This position is focused on overall design and delivery of end-to-end intelligent automation capabilities using Computer Vision, AI/ML technologies.
Deliver new capabilities's to ensure continuous delivery, manage impediments and maintain high throughput.
