Also, is the well-rounded export compliance professional responsible for supporting the continued development and implementation of the J&J’s U.

export control program and helping ensure it successfully addresses all material risk areas related to the EAR, OFAC, and other relevant trade compliance regulations.
Key Responsibilities.
Assess, draft, and submit export license applications to the US Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security (“BIS”) using SNAP-R Draft, publish, and monitor adherence with export license monitoring plans Oversee assignment of Export Control Classification Numbers (“ECCN”) and Schedule B, and perform classifications when necessary.
Determine license exceptions and licensing requirements for shipments and releases of commercial and R&D products.
Oversee trade compliance operations vendors and managed service providers.
Review and disposition third parties subject to denied and restricted party screening.
Develop and conduct training activities pertaining to export compliance and trade sanctions.
Conduct audits, assessments, spot checks, and / or health checks of various aspects of the global trade export operations program.
Assist with program development activities including writing and updating compliance manuals, developing business processes, and engaging with cross-functional partners.
Provide guidance on US export laws and regulations including material transfers, sales, services, and remittances to entities or individuals in embargoed or sanctioned countries.
Independently lead as a project manager, or represent global trade operations as a team member, on cross-functional enterprise trade compliance projects.
Qualifications Education Minimum of bachelor’s degree is required.
Experience and Skills.
Required.
Minimum of four (4) years of direct experience with EAR regulations Experience in export compliance including classification, licenses, screening, and export management control plans Strong understanding and experience with ECCN classification and determining license requirements Proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast‐paced, team environment and work independently to successfully deliver on objectives and effectively manage multiple priorities Ability to address complex matters with practical advice and solutions Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to functional leaders in upper management and external partners Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to adopt learning regulatory requirements Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Preferred.
Experience in SAP, E2Open Trade Automation, and/or SNAP-R Project management experience Experience working in a highly matrixed, global organization Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, or equivalent data visualization tools or applications Other.

Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.
Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
