Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Director, Portfolio Program Management, located in New Brunswick, NJ.
This individual will be responsible for shaping and leading a comprehensive Finance Technology Project Portfolio approach that will direct and coordinate all aspects of intake, prioritization, program management and governance for all Finance Technology projects across the enterprise.
This includes leading the biannual and ongoing project intake processes, coordination of assessment and prioritization and initiation of financial and project management as well as governance.
The role will also be responsible for providing end-to-end project management of key strategic finance Run-State initiatives and will partner with senior stakeholders within the FS&T organization, as well as across the broader Finance and IT organizations, to drive consistent organizational excellence and provide optimal technological leadership.
This leader will ensure the finance technology projects put in place are in compliance with worldwide procedures and our consistent PMO and governance approach, drive accountability throughout the organization, and will facilitate and drive resource prioritization with business partners on an ongoing basis.
This individual will also need to structure and onboard a team to develop and implement these new enterprise capabilities.
As part of the Global Finance Transformation Program Management & Governance team, this role enables J&J to significantly enhance business capabilities through the deployment of leading Finance business process/technology solutions in a strategic and efficient manner.
This key, global, strategic role will drive efficiency and effectiveness across the Finance organization, manage complex integrations and interface with senior management regularly.
The Director Portfolio Program Management is responsible for.
Shaping and leading a comprehensive Finance Technology Project Portfolio approach that will direct and coordinate all aspects of intake, prioritization, program management and governance for all Finance Technology projects across the enterprise Leading end-to-end efforts for Run-State finance technology projects; managing scope, developing and managing project plans / resource plans / schedules / deliverables; ensuring program/project statuses and financial budgets/health are appropriately managed throughout program lifecycle in line with standard enterprise approach.
Managing and leading team of direct report(s) Developing and delivering project presentations for senior-level Finance & IT stakeholders to advise on historical and future project status Driving proactive risks/issues identification, management, and mitigation; Managing program and project interdependencies, resolving conflicting priorities among various groups throughout the greater FS&T, other Finance teams and IT organization as they relate to project implementation & adoption.
Managing and mentoring project managers, team leads, technical leads on the EP&A program.
Implementing industry best practices in Project/Program Management and adhering to the FS&T PMO processes.
This individual must leverage a refined, multi-functional toolset of business expertise, IT knowledge, and finance acumen to effectively interact with a breadth of project stakeholders across the company.
Qualifications An undergraduate degree is required (Finance / Accounting degree and experience is preferred) An advanced degree in science, business, engineering or organizational management is preferred.
A minimum of 10+ years of experience managing many aspects of PMO and Governance in a global context, in a regulated environment is required.
A minimum of 7 years of people management experience is required.
Experience in owning large PMO/portfolio governance processes including process creation, portfolio governance calendar planning/management, and execution is required.
Experience creating a direct and indirect organization with a culture of global customer focus and the ability to deliver is required.
Must be a strong team player who can work across organizations and teams to produce high quality project management and governance outcomes.
The ability to attract and develop superior talent is required.
Analytical skills and experience leading risk-based oversight programs required.
The ability to build interdependent partnerships, acting as the mediator between organizations while optimizing the value proposition is required.
The ability to develop high performing teams and lead in a matrixed environment is required.
Organizational change management experience is required.
Large transformation program management experience is required.
The ability to shape, creating a future vision and gaining support and alignment to that vision is required.
Must have executive presentation skills, a collaborative approach, the ability to connect, and the ability to manage complexity and ambiguity.
Must seek to continuously learn and improve knowledge and skills by identifying developmental opportunities.
Must have a bifocal approach - ability to zoom-in/zoom-out for strategic and tactical, high-level and detailed.
Up to approximately 25% domestic and international travel may be required.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.
Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year.
Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
